Tightnings after sex 19 weeks

Iv had tightness in my lower tummy on n off all afternoon after me n the DH has sex this morning.

I know it's quiet normal to get these after sex, but it's been a few hours now. They only last a about 10/15 seconds each and stop if I move positions but surly to get getting them isn't normal.. or is it?

They're just Braxton Hicks. Harmless. Orgasm always causes the uterus to contract, it's just that you don't feel it when it isn't stretched.

I'm much earlier than you and had awful tightening after an orgasm and then others quite regularly at other times (not so tight) I asked the midwife who reassured me they were normal. But do ask your midwife if you're worried x

Just realised I'm not much earlier than you! But I've had this in and off for quite a few weeks as I asked at my 16 week check up. Couldn't believe you could get braxton hicks so early but midwife reckoned you can!

Definitely normal! Sex, especially if you orgasm can and does cause your uterus to contract. I didn't notice it too much with my first but this time around I've noticed them much more and they often come with dull cramps too.

As long as you're not feeling any strong pain or experiencing any bleeding or anything like that it's safe to assume they're just Braxton hicks but obviously speak to your midwife if you're worried.
