Can anyone offer any tips or advice?
I suffer with daily headaches and some days migraines with disturbed vision, painkillers don't touch it usually, if they do it's only for a short period of time and then they're back before I can take anymore medicine. I have a GP appointment on Tuesday, but in the meantime I'm a mess. I have two children plus two dogs and two cats (😂) to look after and some days it's hard to lift my head up and get on with anything, I often feel nauseous and light headed when waiting in the playground at school pick up time, I'm worried about driving but feel to ill to walk the hour round trip to collect my daughters from school. I also have SPD and I'm really struggling emotionally because of feeling so unwell constantly. I'm only 17 weeks and I don't think I can cope until February feeling like this. I suppose I mainly wanted a moan to people who might understand, but also any information on how to ease the pain would be fantastic!
Xx

Holding out a virtual hand, you'll get through it just take any help that's offered, look after yourself, try and make "me" time.

Have you tried caffeine?

I was getting horrid headaches from about 15-17 weeks that would not go away despite taking paracetamol. My midwife suggested a can of Coke and lo and behold, I had a can and my headache vanished. Now when I feel one coming back I just have some caffeine and it generally staves it off. Might not work for you, but worth a try!

Thank you @Flamingosnbears it's extremely draining!

It hadn't even crossed my mind tbh @Celebelly i just assumed caffeine would have the opposite effect but I'll definitely give it a try thank you! I'd try anything at the moment! Literally 😂 x

I've also been getting terrible migraines (though nothing but 1 regular headache for the past week 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 am almost 19 weeks now so crossing everything they're over) and I find two paracetamol as soon as I wake up, a huge glass of water and then a weak coffee and a walk in the fresh air usually help take the edge off.

I'm also been doing a lot of dozing in a dark room while DD watches the iPad next to me! Sleep is really the only thing that helps.

GP now. Persistent headaches and visual disturbances can be a sign of pre eclampsia.

LBNM19 · 16/09/2018 12:53

I got terrible headaches at the beginning, can't remember how long they went on for but it was untill around 18 weeks. I toom paracetmol, drank lots of water and i got this m.origins.co.uk/product/15360/11719/bath-body/sensory/peace-of-mind/on-the-spot-relief

I hope you start feeling better soon.

Thank you everyone! I'm pretty sure it's not pre eclampsia, I had it with my first and I don't feel anything like that, I had one headache free day yesterday after giving a can of coke a try! Hooray! But it's back again today, booked in with the GP tomorrow to check blood pressure etc! And thank you @LBNM19 I'll give that a go xx
