Trimester 3....constant exhaustion combined with a tear your own skin off restlessness and inability to sit or lie still for any rejuvenating length of time without some bastarding bladder call/back pain/restless legs/blocked nose/ other random discomfort waking you up to stretch, wee etc...

What's the bloody biological point of this torture???

So you get used to no sleep when baby's here?

I agree with @Babysharkdoodoodoodo ... as annoying as it is , it definitely helps you get used to being up all hours and at random times . I swear this was the reason I was ok with getting up through the night etc and rather enjoyed it lol

I'm thinking that our bodies are more alert. I wake two or three times every night for no apparent reason. I think my body is just becoming more alert so that I'll be alert for when the baby is born and stirs, to check she's ok etc. Might not be right but that helps me! Then I guess the exhaustion is from lack of sleep, carrying a dumbbell around my waist, and putting all my energy into growing a little human.

I think as well as the above it's so we're more alert and can run away from dangerous things like bears and tigers in the night. I wish my body would realise I am unlikely to be eaten in a town in Wiltshire.
