Been having quickening for a few weeks now but the past few days I've felt almost no movement. I know baby is still tiny and can get into all sorts of funny positions (I also have an anterior placenta) but the fact that I went from feeling so much movement to nothing has me a little concerned. Should I call the hospital? My gut is saying everything is fine and bub is just having a growth spurt/moved into a funny position (I remember having a few days/a week of very little movement with DD around this stage) but wonder if I'm being irresponsible but not calling.
I have my anomaly scan on Tuesday anyway!
Should I call?

You should always ring if your conferenced however your not far along enough for a ctg monitoring to track baby's heart and movements however they will use a sonicate ( Doppler ) and check on baby's heart rate .
Everything is most likely fine however in the worst case senario god forbid you will regret not making the call x
Sorrry if this doesn't help x

Hi!
I'm 18 weeks tomorrow and I have similar movements.
I have an anterior placenta though, so I'm putting it down to that.

I've been feeling definite movement for the past two weeks, but I've noticed there'll be little or no movement felt for a few days and then loads the next.

Do you know the position of your placenta yet?

I am twenty weeks and had exactly the same at 18 weeks. Movement is still on and off but had scan on Thursday and everything is fine. You have the scan on Tuesday anyway and I don't think there would be a anything they could do before then other than listen for a heartbeat. It all sounds very normal for this stage!
