We have our 20 week scan on Wednesday and my husband and I can not agree on if we should find out the sex. I think a surprise will be amazing, he feels we can plan more if we find out.

I have moments of wanting to know but would love to hear other experiences 😁

We felt like it was still a surprise finding out. We really enjoyed it.

We’re now really excited about meeting our little boy and we’ve been able to pinch things off my sister as she has all boys :)

I get both sides of the argument, but we don’t feel like we’re missing out on anything by having found out early :)

We have ours on Tues. We have one child already (a lovely boy) and we did not find out with him. I have to say it was fantastic not finding out and we were both really glad we didn't. This time we have decided we do want to find out and I'm excited about that too. It's partly out of practicality as I'll know what I'd like to keep that was my sons.

Maybe weigh up for / against and see where you land x

We didn’t find out either time and it was brilliant. That moment where they tell you what it is is indescribably amazing- after the pain and with all that seratonin. It was just brilliant. Best moments of my life. I just don’t think it would have been the same at the sterility of the scan, even if we could have planned better as a result.

I didn’t find out second time but I did with my first, I enjoyed both, but I have to say not knowing was what I would choose if I had another.

Whether it's at 20 or 40 weeks, surely it's always a surprise.

You might even get a double surprise if it turns out the sex scan was wrong. Grin

I also have my gender scan on wednesday!!
Im going to find out purerly because Im too impaitent to wait Grin
However my brother went for his scan wanting to find out and his daughter wouldnt get into posotion for them to see, so ended up not finding out.
Id prepare for that option aswell, all I keep saying to my OH is "Well we potentially might find out, if baby is in right position"

Im counting down the hours tho, im so excited!!

If you find out the sex it doesn’t make you are less likely to want to push or less excited to meet your baby (I lot of preconceptions I hear on this topic). I wanted to know and helped me feel organised, I didn’t just want to buy a load of white babygros.
