Recurrent miscarriage and hormones

Hello, my first post. I am going through third miscarriage. Awful, as I’m sure those who have been here know. I have a three year old son and fell pregnant with him a week or so after coming off the pill. I can’t shake the thought that it might be related: I.e. my hormone levels may have been different. Any similar experiences on here? I’ve had my hormone levels tested and they are ‘normal’ as are all other tests. I know it can be fruitless looking for answers re: miscarriage but I just wondered if anyone had experience like this and pushed for progesterone (despite the recent trials). Thank you.

Hi, so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Its an awful, awful thing to go through.

I have had 4 miscarriages myself. The 4th one I was on progesterone, but unfortunately I still miscarried. I then saw a specialist Dr Shehata (Google him) and via his clinic I was diagnosed with having borderline high NK killer cells. This meant that my immune system was attaching the embryo as it was seen as something foreign (if I'm correct).
Long story short, I was prescribed prednisolone together with progesterone and went on to have a healthy DD. This practice is frowned upon by some, but it worked for me..

It might just be something you would like to look into..

All the best xx
