Morning ladies,

Just wanting someone to confirm this for me please. I got my bfp this week. I just want to know how the doctors will date me. I ovulated on the 31st August but my lmp was 11th August. Cycles are 32 days with a n average lutuael(sp?) Phase of 11 days (tested positive on 11dpo).
By calculations from ovulation date I am 3w + 6d but I have been told that a doctor will date me from my lmp which would be 4w + 6d! Which one is right? Any help is muchly appreciated!!

They will date you from your LMP until you have your 12 week (approx) dating scan (which or more accurate) and they will amend it according to that.

Pregnancy is calculated from your LMP - that’s where the 40 weeks is counted from and what your doctor/midwife will do. When you have your 12 week scan this may be adjusted slightly, as this is done based on the baby’s measurements, so should take into account when in the cycle you conceived.
