So anxious- inconclusive hcg results?

I was over the moon to find out this time last week (by 3 different branded tests) that I'm pregnant. Fast forward a week, multiple tests later and a blood test with positive result I'm super happy after 2 previous early losses.

Anyway had bloods done Monday, hcg was 178. 48hr test Wednesday, phoned for results today and they seemed to say there were n results but just had to retest in 48hrs. Apparently I can ring to speak to dr tomorrow if I'm anxious.

Has anyone had this? So worried why there's no figures, hoping they've lost the sample or something but in reality I'm thinking either slow rising hcg and they need to retest or inconclusive results- is there any such thing?

Really hoping there's a blip and all is well at the retest.
