Stitch like pain at 14 weeks?

Hi all,

I'm 14+5 with my first child and for the past day or so have been getting a sharp, jabbing pain in my left side and under my boobs. It's very similar to the pain you get with a stitch.

I've just started getting a proper baby bump, so could it be everything stretching? It's not too severe (maybe a 4 out of 10 at the worst) and not constant, but my last pregnancy ended in miscarriage so everything is a worry!

Thanks Smile

I’m no doctor but probably round ligament pain. Very normal in second tri.

I had this down in my groin. A sharp pulling/twanging sensation, mostly on the left but sometimes right. Has stopped now (19 weeks) but went on for quite a few. Just everything stretching and accommodating.

Yer I remember a lot of random stretching pains... So long as no other symptoms I think it's normally normal :-)

Ive had this on and off for the last three weeks. On my left side, like I've got a stitch. Sometimes it takes my breath away, sometimes it's nothing and goes in seconds.

I don't remember any of this with my daughter. I'm 12 weeks tomorrow.

Mentioned it to my consultant and he said it sounded like ligament pain x
