Pain down my right hand side

I have had pain on and off around the top end of my ribs for a couple of weeks now. These past few days it's just been so painful. The pain use to ease off if I moved around a little but now it doesn't go even when I lay down, walk, move. It's so painful. It feels as though my ribs are being broken or are seriously bruised!!

Has anyone experienced this constant pain? I know pregnancy brings all kinds of joys like this but surly this isn't normal? I don't really know what to do... I am 29 weeks today x

Rib pain on the right hand side is a sign of pre-eclampsia. I don't want to worry you but best to check with midwife or hospital. If you have any other symptoms (swelling, headaches etc) definitely get checked. It may just be baby's position or 'one of those pregnancy things' - I hope it is Smile

Thank you @BridgeFarmKefir... Would it be best to call triage or doctors? It's so uncomfortably painful 😩 x

Hello - sorry, not sure, but hope you've managed to speak to someone today!

Managed to speak to someone, was advised to go to triage and be seen. They thought it could have been gallstones, thankfully as far as I'm aware it isn't. Doctor seems to think baby has bruised me internally which is causing the pain. The joys Grinx

Well, internal bruising sucks but it's much better than PE. Glad you had a good outcome!
