Pregnancy - BV & Thrush 😰

Hello,

Since the start of my pregnancy I’ve been suffering with constant BV infections, thrush ☹️😢 I’ve seen the GP every time, and midwife is fully aware.

I’m always getting the response ‘it’s normal during pregnancy’ as hormones are changing constantly, but I can’t help but feel dirty 😣

Has anyone else had the same?

I had terrible BV a few times (not pregnant) it was awful and people kept complaining about me And I was office gossip of being disgustingly smelly. It was one of the worst times in my life. I had no friends as I had just started working there and I was constantly being pulled into the office and being told I was unclean, it was horrendously embarrassing and no one was sympathetic that it's an actual medical infection and the anti biotics were just taking ages to clear it.
I 100 hundred percent feel for you!
What's has the midwife said? Are there treatments to help get rid of it faster and to keep you happy and healthy?

I just took thrush on Monday night got canestan yesterday but was on fire last night. Read that a white vinegar bath helps so I've just had one. It felt nice and like it was cleaning the area! Then applied the cream after. Cutting down on sugar helps as yeast feeds on sugar and also a probiotic. I had stopped taking probiotics but am going to start again to see if it prevents this recurring.
