So I had a scan at 10 weeks and sonographer said everything was perfectly normal. We saw the heartbeat and baby was moving around loads.

I have my 12 week scan tomorrow and I can’t help but feel worried sick that something would’ve gone wrong in those 2 weeks :-( can anyone settle my mind? Anyone felt the same?

I get scared before every scan! Had the two normal scans and two growth ones as he is big.
I think it's normal to get worried beforehand. I have another tomorrow and I'm worried despite the fact I can feel him kicking now!
I think you worry until you get them in your arms. ..and even then it doesn't stop!
Just try to relax, easier said than done.

I m 35 weeks and had 5 scans, you naturally worry before every one and that's normal, that's just your mummy instincts kicking in, but it does get easier. The worst is you start convincing yourself that you don't feel pregnant anymore and something.kust have happened, but nothing has its just your mins worrying about your baby already, try to relax everything will be fine :) xx

If you’ve had a positive scan at 10 weeks then the statistical probability of you having had a miscarriage in those two weeks is very low.

The difference with this scan is it looks more closely for development issues- and the 20 week even more so. However I’ve known people who’ve had bad news at the anomaly scan and all has gone onto work out well with more tests and treatment post birth. It’s always a scary time but the probability of having a healthy baby is far, far higher than not.

Hi OP. I felt exactly the same as you - I’d been for an 8 week scan after some bleeding and all was fine, but right before my 12 week scan I had convinced myself there would be a problem. I just ‘felt’ like something was wrong. And in the end everything was just fine! It’s only natural to worry, but as previous posters have said statistically everything is very likely to be ok. Good luck x
