I have 2 large rips one on each side which needed to be stitched up 😩 how can I make going for a wee less of a panic ! I hold it for so long it takes forever but I can't bring myself to go unless I really need to !
Any advice appreciated !

Lean really far forward on the loo, hands on the floor kind of style. Sounds mad, but the pouring water whilst weeing didn’t work for me. I also tore my labia and it was horrible! Don’t hold in wee as it can cause issues and you’ll be in even more pain.

A jug of tepid water and pour over when you wee. I had a 3rd degree tear and was given this advice by a midwife. It does help

Hope it heals quickly.

Not what you asked but Padsicles may help with healing / post wee relief prettyprovidence.com/diy-padsicles-postpartum/

Wee in the bath or jug of water poured over while weeing on the loo. Bath one works best though! Drink plenty of water so your wee is more diluted as it will sting less.

Yep witch hazel on pads, put the pads or the witch hazel in the fride will provide relief and help healing. Add a bit to a bottle with water and pour over the area when peeing.

Lavender and tea tree oil mixed into water and used as a douche will also help healing.

In the bath , only fill it up enough to cover the area when you wee with tepid water , that's what I did for the first week or so.

Thankyou guys
This is very tmi but think I may go and ask to be re stitched ! I'm even embarrassed for the midwife to see the state of down there later today!
Did anyone else's hole just not go back ??? It's obviously not the size of a babies head but I can definitely see it very clearly 😭 didn't expect it to look quite the same but this is something else !
Just had a look and I can't even see where she supposedly stitched them I literally have three separate parts
Like a rip right up top ! Does not look even slightly right to me ! The only part that actually looks stitched is my 2nd degree tear !

I had this with my first baby.

Weeing was more painful than the childbirth itself and that's no exaggeration. I would fear going to the toilet, had to pep myself up and grip onto the sides. It was absolutely horrific and I wondered by someone warned me about it. Sad

It will go back, but if you're worried get it checked out. Always get checked out if you're worried.
