Bump at 6 weeks?

I am currently around 6 weeks pregnant, I was pregant at the beginning of the year for the first time but unfortunately miscarried so this is my 2nd time being pregnant , but I've noticed I already have what appears to be a bump it has been there constant for a week now to the point a few people have guessed I'm pregnant, ive attached a photo, is it possible to be showing this early on? Baring in mind I usually have quite a flat stomach and have put on around 8lb in the last 7 days

Thanks

Most likely bloating! I had it from 5-10 weeks to the point I had to tell work early because it looked so much like a bump. It went down a little at 10 weeks and then a proper bump started to form at around 13 weeks (2nd pregnancy).

Good luck!

The baby is still really really low in your pelvis so it's not a baby bump, it's bloating most likely.
I remember being sooooo desperate to get a bump then when I got massive thinking omg I wish I could be smaller again Grin

Congratulations OP! How exciting Thanks

I second bloating.

The embryo will be the size of a small pea, so not causing a bump!

I got a bump at about 22 weeks but that may have been just luck.

Definitely bloat! I balloon during the first few weeks, and look puffy and 5 months along. But I shrink down to normal around 8 weeks as the bloat subsides. Hooray for fall and flowy tunic tops!

There's no way that's baby. You got a while yet before an actual "bump"

I am exactly, exactly the same as you!!
I've been reassured it's normal early bloating as my MC was 14 weeks ago & I worried my body was all over the place not having had any periods since April.
Not sure long far along in this pregnancy I am at the moment- waiting for the usual appointments & scans but it is getting tough to hide although I assume my team at work & family have noticed already!
Hoping the 'it'll go back down again before a baby bump' replies come true! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼😊

No that’s bloating.

CrabbyPatty · 12/09/2018 16:42

Bit harsh @ItsLikeRainOnYourWeddingDay note OP's previous miscarriage - sometimes small signs of pregnancy mean a lot when you've been through this. I do agree that's its probably bloating but people were guessing I was pregnant at about 8 weeks. I also had a miscarriagh earlier this year. I think its possible our uterus's (not sure if the correct plural!) may not have shrunk back and filled out a bit quicker.

It's bloat, baby is less than a cm at the moment and below your pubic bone until about 13 weeks.

You'll find sometime between now and 12 - 14 weeks the bloat disappears and a few weeks later a bump will appear, although mine didn't start until well after 20 weeks, wasn't noticable when dressed until around 28 weeks

Same here. Huge bloated belly for a few weeks (not 12 though!) and then no bump AT ALL until after my 20 week scan.

Currently TTC and hoping my body behaves similarly next time as I don’t want to tell work early on due to office politics.

I'm 5+6 and feel like I have a bump, I know it's not possible but I've definitely started to bloat and it's really round!

mintich · 12/09/2018 20:18

Mine was like that!

smcgregor1995 · 12/09/2018 23:29

Thankyou everyone for your feedback feeling alot less worried now, @ItsLikeRainOnYourWeddingDay I put this post up as I was worried because I didn't have this much bloating with my first pregnancy when i was 6 weeks and that was twins I miscarried then but excuse me for not being as educated as you! maybe you should educate yourself on how to have manners!

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I would call it a bump, yes it's probably bloating, but the bloating is caused by your bubba.. Smile
