I have heard that people leak milk early on.

Are you taking any medication?

wheniamqueen · 08/06/2007 16:32

I've been leeking slightly since about 14 weeks, not much but i def started to notice

MrsTom · 08/06/2007 16:46

I'm currently 29+5 and have been leaking since about 18-19 weeks.

At first it was only at night - I'd discover on waking up that my lovely clean (white) sheets were stained!! Now it is happening much more often. The damn things drip all the time! Nice.

what about just if you was to squeze the nipple and milk came out how many weeks or months does that take

nappyaddict · 09/06/2007 10:54

sorry that was meant to say 14

preggibec · 13/06/2007 02:36

i was just wondering, yeah if breast milk can leek early, im only 20wks, and felt that it might have leeked the other nite when i was asleep. if its not that, what else could it be?

quokka · 13/06/2007 03:22

yes I started leaking at around 20 weeks with both dc it was usually in the night and I wore breast pads - saves washing the sheets! I had a huge milk supply while bf so you should be same maybe, which is great for your buba!

InternationalMouseOfMystery · 13/06/2007 07:23

can start early i believe

i'm 34+3 with my second and only started a tiny bit last week

glittercaz · 13/06/2007 14:20

while we're on the subject, can i just ask, is it normal to leak a bit of colostrum but then for this to stop? I'm 34 weeks and I had this for a few days about a fortnight ago but over the past week it has stopped altogether, even if I squeeze my nips (sorry if tmi!) Baby has been bouncing around etc, but this couldn't indicate that I will have problems with bf later? x

quokka · 13/06/2007 14:37

glittercaz I wouldn't worry. Try squeezing your nips while in the shower, the warm water helps it out. I still have milk coming through and I stop bf 15 months ago! I think if your leaking now (or before now) your milk supply will be more than enough.

dressedupnowheretogo · 13/06/2007 14:38
