Late period, negative test

I am usually bang on 28/29 day cycle and am 4 days overdue on my period.

A Clearblue digital test (one of the ones that detects early pregnancy) has come back but still no period.

Any advice?

Either you have ovulated late this month, does happen to even the regulars (I know many people who say they were always regular until they started TTC then their cycles went all over the place) or you haven't produced enough pregnancy hormone to show up yet. Can take some people a good 2 weeks before they get a positive on a test. Perhaps wait a week (if you can) and test again if period is still a no show. If you're still getting a negative then, make a GP as you'll be nearly 2 weeks late.

On the day it was due there was some pale brown discharge, a tampon produced nothing.

Such a waiting game!

Get yourself a First Response test. Digital test are well known for not being very sensitive and it can take weeks to get a positive on them.

First Response detect early and are known to be one of the most reliable. Good luck

Hi OP. Same thing with me, 3 days late & tiny bit of brown discharge but only when I wipe. Tested yesterday, was BFN. I’ve ordered a first response to come thurs & will test again fri morning. Let me know how you get on!

I posted a very similar question this morning - I’m 4 days late but negative test on an Early Response, guessing I’m not as they detect tiny amounts of hcg, but doesn’t explain the late period?!

AF just arrived...

I'm now 5 days late and on day 33 of my cycle - something that never happens and hasn't happened in the last 2.5 years of being off the depo. I've lost a bit of confidence in receiving a BNF and am just going to wait now a couple of weeks before I test again.
