Nipple pain

Hi guys
Sorry for the TMI but just wondered if anyone has any tips!!

I am 16 weeks and my nipples are so so sore - even to the point wearing clothes is so uncomfortable! If I am wearing them for too long I start getting sharp pains in my nipples too.

Any tips on how to relieve this? I thought I would have a short break from painful nipples/breasts but no!!!

Thank you!

Well - they say refrigerated cold cabbage leaves down the bra - worth a try.

Hormones can do funny things to your nipples - my DD grew another one on one of her breasts when she was feeding! Now that was weird!

Try breast pads inside your bra.

Mine have been sore since 18 weeks. Are they dry and cracked or just tender? I read that Vaseline is recommended by the NHS for breastfeeding mums so m9ght try this.

@Mishappening oh wow that does sound strange!! Great tip though, might need to try that

@CrabbyPatty nooo they aren't dry at all - just so painful! It's hard to describe but when I get out the shower and wrap a towel round me, even that hurts Confused

Yes try some breast pads, they're very soft. Other than that, no advice but lots of sympathy!
