i am still 2 days away from AF i think, its hard for me to tell because i recently came off the depo which messed me up a bit...however i started to feel sick two weeks ago...in the mornings, and have sore boobs etc, so i bought some pregnancy tests of ebay, and yesterday i got a faint pink positive. today however i used the same style test at the same time in the morning (first wee) and got nothing. Are the ebay tests reliable? i got a not pregnant on a clear blue but i opened itup and on the strip inside there was again faint blue line.

I'm kind of TTC and for the last 3 months I've been really nauseous and sore booby etc for the week before AF. I didn't have these symptoms before I had dd and it's really off putting and annoying - especially when I get my hopes up.

Supermarket tests are only about £2/3 now so might be worth trying again on your AF due date. Unless it's a really expensive test it won't be any use before your AF due date tbh.

feelinbloo · 08/06/2007 15:24

yeah i thought that, its just with my last two, i did test about 3 days early (i think) and got positives. Its driving me barmy to be honest, if i am not pregnant then something is making me feel very poorly!

I'm also ttc - and convinced myself that I had all the pregnancy symptoms possible last week - then AF arrived one day early.

wait another couple of days then test again.

bobsmum · 08/06/2007 15:27

feelinbloo - I know what you mean. I've got my AF now and I still feel sick - it's so unfair! I've had morning sickness for 2 weeks a month for 3 months now - but no pg - that can't be right!

beansprout · 08/06/2007 15:28

No such thing as a false positive! It's entirely likely that not all tests will give you a positive result as you are not due on yet. If you can hold fire for a couple of days, try again then. Or, get a reliable, sensitive test such as First Response and test in the morning. Good luck!

feelinbloo · 08/06/2007 15:30

see thats what i thought too, no such thing as a false positive:

here is my test:

I can see 2 lines!!!

ShowOfHands · 08/06/2007 15:32

Those tests are completely reliable btw. Just come without the fancy packaging. I had a bfp 6 days before af was due with them. That bfp is 4 weeks old.

hayley2u · 08/06/2007 15:33

when i took a pregnancy test both times it showed a very very fantlne. i was convinced i was not pregnant but it was my bf who was staring at it so hard to see it had a ne. i went to out of hours just to stop him moaning and yer i was pregnant all right.xx

feelinbloo · 08/06/2007 15:33

thats great, but how come i got a negative on the very same style test the following morning? could it have been a dud test?

plus i only bought a £1.00 test as was not going to waste as i knew i was not pregnant so sounds like your in the preggers group well done x

feelinbloo · 08/06/2007 15:35

now here is the other thing thats worrying me...i started getting a very sharp pain to the lower left of my abdomen last night...but it is not an AF pain. i did have a sensitive spot there before in pregnancy, but not this early on? any ideas?

OP posts:
hayley2u · 08/06/2007 15:35

probjust because your early. i honestly could not se one of the faint lines why not get one more then its best of 3

ShowOfHands · 08/06/2007 15:35

Could have had more dilute urine, immersed the test for a shorter or longer period of time, dud test, less sensitive test (it happens in a batch of the same tests). Could be many, many reasons. Of course it could also be something like a chemical pregnancy, it's so hard to know this early. If you can bear to wait I'd test again in a couple of days.

Good luck to you.

feelinbloo · 08/06/2007 15:36

lol well i went for a more xpensive clear blue didgital and it told me...NOT PREGNANT too early for one of those??

OP posts:
hayley2u · 08/06/2007 15:36

no but would not worry i was quite sore too doctor told e it was normal. ust your body adjusting. scary though

feelinbloo · 08/06/2007 15:37

thanks showofhands, i am terrible though, have so little patience, i will try wait to test agiin, but i have the feeling i am going to be my local pharmacies favorite customer over the next few days

I had that pain, pointed out where it was during an early scan and it was where the corpus luteum had attached. Gawd, had all sorts of funny pains in very early pregnancy. Implantation can feel quite uncomfy too.

feelinbloo · 08/06/2007 15:38

corpus luteum? what is that?

i had like a little bloody show as such 8 days ago which i though might have been implantation, i hope so, my hubs and i would love another

Haven't read the whole thread but a clearblue digital would be expected to have two lines inside even if not pregnant. Have a look at peeonastick.com for more info.

I have had very convincing false +ves from evaporation lines on ebay tests...

hayley2u · 08/06/2007 15:39

yer probably you never know. i was not even late just my boyf pesterng me to find out. so wish never foungd out so early its dragged so much.go get one of those cheap ones they usually come in pack of two and see if that helps

ShowOfHands · 08/06/2007 15:39

IMHO clearblue digital is not as sensitive as the ebay tests. I got a bfn with cb when I'd had a first response and ebay tests show bfp (obviously I didn't believe the tests either and spent a small fortune!).

feelinbloo · 08/06/2007 15:40

yes daisy moo, someone said that to me on another forum i was on, but there is also a page on there which shows 'negative clearblues' when the women were actually preggers, mine looked like the second one down there. I dunno, its all so confusing.
