Implantation bleeding after bfp??

I got a faint positive on a frer on thursday (9dpo I think!) and then stronger positives each day then a bfp on a cb digital on Saturday. This morning I woke up to a small bleed. I assumed it was a chemical and called my doctor who said to rest for the next few days, wait and see and retest on Wednesday. The bleeding has stopped now, was very light and I only saw it on my underware when I went to the toilet. My app tells me I'm 3 weeks and 5 days pregnant; could this be implantation bleeding?? Is it possible to have implantation bleeding after a positive test? My period is due anytime between today and wednesday (27-29 day cycles).
Hate being in limbo like this; can anyone help at all?

I had a bleed at 7 weeks pregnant, the sonographer told me that it was implant bleeding, it can sometimes get "stuck" and not be released until later on...I found it reassuring and everything was fine.

Can you refer yourself to a gp, early pregnancy or gynae for bloods done? The did mine at gynaecology and made me come back 48 hours later for them to be repeated...it checks your hormone levels are doubling

I've had implantation bleeding after
I've had a bfp with my last two dc. The last dc I had bleeding from 9-14 weeks , some brown, some red but all was fine with the pregnancies

@caitlin my gp is pretty rubbish to be honest; I don't see her being any more help than she has been sadly.

@choccybiscuit thats great to hear! Was it light bleeding? Did it come and go or last the whole time?

It was light but brown and every time I wiped pretty much. Then I had a gap for a few weeks, then back again at 9 weeks ranging from brown to bright red. I had a big bleed at 10 weeks and had a scan, but it was fine

Why don’t you wait a few days and then use a digital ClearBlue test that tells you how many weeks you are. Then you will know if your hcg levels have continued to go up.

Thats a good idea. I have a spare one from the pack I bought before. This was my result on saturday

I had implantation bleeding with both of my two, but it was only before a positive test. On both occasions, it was because of the bleeding stopping after a day that I thought I might be pregnant. I had positive tests on the day after bleeding.

@fatted did you test before the bleed and get a negative result or did you only test for the first time after the bleed?

Trying to keep it brief with eldest I'd not had a period for months so had no idea I was pregnant. Thought it was my period. It was only when I stopped bleeding again and felt a bit ropey I decided to test.

With youngest I decided to wait until my period was due before testing, so when I started bleeding I thought it was my period. But then it stopped after a day and I decided to test. It was positive on a cheapo test I got off Amazon but negative on clear blue digital initially. Took a few days to get a positive on the clear blue.

Just went to see my acupuncturist who said not to loose hope as still looking good as far as she can tell. It's just a horrible wait!

I had a positive test with my daughter and then the next night a small bleed, was sent for a scan and they said it was very early no sign other than womb was thick, went back for blood tests over two days & they confirmed pregnancy, she is now nearly 7! But i had never experienced it with my first pregnancy so thought the worst. Good luck x

I had a bleed at 4 weeks after a bfp at 3w 3d. Had a scan at 6w 3d and all was fine. Currently 9+6 and hoping it is all still fine.

Really good to hear these stories; thanks so much for replying! Bleeding stoppped for most of the day except a tiny bit of brown spotting so will need to keep an eye on it...
