Chicken pox

Am 33 weeks pregnant and spent yesterday with my gorgeous one year old nephew - overnight he got a bad rash and turns out he has chicken pox. My sister and I are almost certain we had it as kids but can't be 100% sure and no parents to ask. I've left message for a community midwife to call me back but should I be onto my GP to get a blood test or can they check my medical records (from the 80s?!) to see if I have had it?

Get onto gp ASAP if you act quickly there is something they can give you within a short period of exposure I think

I actually had chicken pox during pregnancy, it is a worry

Hi i had this a few weeks ago, my sis in law turned up with my niece and i noticed she had chicken pox appearing! She left covered! I rang midwife & she said to ring docs to get blood test to check immunity, the doc did it as urgent so i heard back the following day, i did have it as a child but that doesn't always matter so best to check .

Oh that's a worry, OP. Hope the blood test shows all is OK.
