Is it normal for my arm still to be sore 4 days after the injection. Feels heavy and stinging when moving my arm.

I had the Anti-D at the top of my bum cheek so can't really compare. I had no pain at all.
If you're getting it again, suggest getting it there instead of your arm- usually more fat to cushion it!!

It's an IM injection, so into the muscle. Your muscle will be bruised. Which can happen. It's nothing to be concerned about.

Anti d should only be given in the deltoid muscle in the arm. It's not as effective if given in the bum as less likely to be injected into muscle. The leaflet the hcp should read quite clearly states this.

I had me mine in my thigh and I remember it hurt more than any other injection, blood test etc I'd ever had so I'm sure arm would be more painful with less fat to cushion it.

Normal with IM injections, I once had an anti-emetic in my thigh and my god it was sore for about a week after. Horrible things!

I had mine a couple of weeks ago in my arm and it didn’t hurt at all afterwards. My arm ached more after my whooping cough jab than the anti D!
