Anterior placenta and first pregnancy, nearly 23 weeks and haven't felt my little girl

Starting to get really worried as I haven't felt my baby girl move yet, I'm currently 22+5 and having a lot of down days as I don't feel her move and I'm worrying. Anybody out there who's had a anterior placenta with their first pregnancy? How far gone were you when you first felt a kick?

Maybe you should tell your midwife your concerns - that is what she is there for. Give her a ring maybe?

I didn't feel my first baby until 26 weeks and I had a normal placenta and I'm of average weight. It may have been I had felt him but I wasn't sure that's it wasn't just wind Blush

I didn't with my first I felt him from around 16 weeks but I did with my second and it was probably around 25 weeks before I felt Ds2 to any degree

I have a anterior placenta and I started feeling VERY light movements at around 18-19 weeks but they were so light they could have easily been missed/mistaken for something else. I’d say I was around 21-22 weeks before I started feeling proper definite movements. Approaching 31 weeks now and feel her constantly. Try lying down on your side in a quiet room with no distractions (not even your phone) and really concentrate and see if you notice anything even slightly. Sure you’ll start feeling her soon but maybe mention to your midwife aswell.

I also had an anterior placenta and was very relieved at my 20 week scan when the sonographer guessed that I hadn't felt movements yet and explained why!
I think I probably started feeling her properly a few weeks later, but trust me, it got to the point where you couldn't mistake it! It will happen for you!
