Hello, I know I am being a bit crazy but I find pregnancy hugely anxiety inducing (as do most of us I guess!) so humour me!

I am 5+1 today, got a BFP the day period was due (although I suspect I ovulated a few days late so probably a few days early in reality).

Since then I have had sore boobs but these have reduced over the last few days and today they feel pretty normal. With DS I seem to remember having very sore boobs for weeks.

Pregnancy tests still show a strong positive (attached are some I did this afternoon, not FMU).

Is it common for pregnancy symptoms to come and go? I know no-one can tell me anything for definite. It's still early days and anything could happen yet but I'm just wondering if others experienced the same? I have a private early scan booked for 7 weeks so hoping that might help a bit.

Thanks all!

Hi,

I'm 5+3 and feeling the same, I felt dreadful for about the first two weeks after getting my BFP, I found out at 11dpo! So quite early.

The last few days I've not 'felt pregnant' but it's my first so I'm not sure if it was my nerves that caused me to feel so ill, and now that I have calmed down I feel much better Confused

I have a private scan booked for the 21st and can't wait! I don't know how people wait until the 12wk scan.

From what I've read everyone is different and symptoms can come and go...

Fingers crossed for us both!! It's so stressful and I know what you mean about the anxiety! X

Yes, my symptoms came and went quite early.

@sparkles1992 it's good to know I'm not alone! I hate this bit, seems to go on forever!

Our private scan is booked for the 20th and I'm counting down the days. I had an early scan with DS and, although it is only a snapshot, it does (hopefully!) give you the reassurance that everything has got to where it should have by that point.

Fingers crossed for both of us!

Out of my three pregnancies the one that I was most sick with and had the most symptoms with was the only one that ended in a miscarriage.

Symptoms mean nothing.

Today you are pregnant.

Thanks @Sunshinegirl82 ! Not long for us to wait, I have a midwife appointment too this week so that should make the week go quicker too!

Let me know how you get on, two little heartbeats I'm sure we will see ❤️❤️

Sparkles1992 · 20/09/2018 18:08

Hi @Sunshinegirl82 did you go for your scan? Hope all went well SmileSmile have you got more symptoms now? I certainly have 😷

Sunshinegirl82 · 20/09/2018 19:12

Hello! Yes, all was well at the scan today and heartbeat seen! Still early days but for now I'm feeling relieved! Boobs are back to being sore, I'm knackered and get the odd wave of nausea (although I'm pretty sure I felt more sick with DS). How are you feeling?

Just wanted to chip in with my experience - at 8 weeks all symptoms stopped overnight. I had a panic followed by an ultrasound thanks to a lovely doctor and everything is absolutely fine. Perfect size and strong heartbeat. Didn’t realise I would be worrying so much about my child before it even arrived!!!

Sparkles1992 · 21/09/2018 13:53

Aw that's amazing @Sunshinegirl82 bet you feel so relieved! I have mine this afternoon & im so nervous but I've been sick every morning now for a good few days Confused glad the symptoms are there but fed up with the sickness already! Can't wait to see the little heartbeat 🤞🏼 glad it all went well for you, I would just enjoy not having too much sickness while you can Smile

Sunshinegirl82 · 21/09/2018 21:32

How did it go @sparkles1992?

Amazing thanks @Sunshinegirl82 ! Seen the baby straight away and little heart flickering it was a lovely experience and I feel much better now! Went out for tea to celebrate but couldn't finish it an got in bed as soon as I got in but feeling happy! Baby is measuring at 6+5 so a bit behind what I thought but will see what they say at 12 scan.

It's a lovely feeling isn't it?
