Cervical Pregnancy

I had IVF with BFP from FET. At my 7 week scan, found out that the embryo has implanted at the cervical isthmus junction, viable with a heart beat. Anyway, the doctor suggested methotrexate which I took (even though it may not work) and then they will do a D&C with balloon tamponade to stop the bleeding. Apparently the risk of bleed is high and might even need conversion to open surgery. Anyone else been through this? Supposedly its very rare and even the evidence on how best to manage the risk of bleeding is not clear.... am still in shock. But the immediate need to remove the conceptus is even more stressful.
