shoulder pain

Hi all,

I am about 5 weeks pregnant and since yesterday have been getting some dull aching pains in my shoulder blades (near the bottom but it sometimes moves) This is my first pregnancy since my miscarriage and I am worried it could be something like an ectopic pregnancy (although I have read that the pain is near the shoulder tips if it is ectopic) I do suffer from arthritis and have a physical job so I am hoping it is possibly that I have just pulled myself. Any advice would be great

I think it's always best to contact your doctor just to be safe. I'm afraid I have no experience of ectopic pregnancies though but it's always best to be over-cautious where pregnancy is concerned.

I think you should be seen just in case. I wouldn't wait until Monday. Maybe phone your local early pregnancy unit and ask their advice?
