H&M is cheap, cheerful and fashionable. There is something for everyone there. Good luck

TooTicky · 07/06/2007 22:08

I have a pair of size 10 summery maternity trousers - if they'd be suitable you could have them for £6 inc p&p.
I bought most of mine on ebay.

SlightlyMadSpider · 07/06/2007 22:09

ebay I found great for mat clothes - given that they have typically only been worn for a max of 5-6m.

suwoo · 07/06/2007 22:09

Ebay!!!!!!!!!!!

Kif · 07/06/2007 22:10

I loved the dorothy perkins stuff. Also top shop for smock tops

MrsBadger · 07/06/2007 22:13

ebay - be canny and look for bundles.

Also H&M, DP

and Primark £5 non-mat smock tops 2 sizes bigger than normal

DO NOT skimp on trousers, you will kcik yourself if you buy poorly-fitting cheap ones that fall down every 10min - better to spend the extra tenner and have them stay up. MIL bought me lovely linen Next ones as a present .

peacocks do a fab range

TooTicky · 07/06/2007 22:36

I'd say light khaki, dp says stone. They are fabulously comfortable, have two pockets and an elasticated waist.

TaylorsMummy · 07/06/2007 22:37

j20baby · 07/06/2007 22:45

No probs

Charity shops and your local stree market. Buy loose things like drawstring pants and dresses several sizes bigger than normal. Also look for boot sales and NCT or local mum/baby/toddler group jumble sales or bring & buy. I also got a couple of pairs of maternity jeans and a dress passed on by friends along with the babyclothes they'd finished with (which I then passed on to the next mate to get PG). Actually, the only maternity things I bought were a swimsuit and a pack of maternity knickers, which turned out to be less comfy than the size 24 floral cotton Big Pants off the market.

kittyhas6 · 07/06/2007 23:06

EBAY!!!!!

Kathyis6incheshigh · 07/06/2007 23:07

New Look.

I had a great dress from there that was a total Isabella Oliver knock-off and only cost about a tenner.

weepiglet2 · 07/06/2007 23:10

I bought a couple of pairs of good maternity trousers (black) with stretchy waistbands, and have then bought increasing sizes of (non maternity) neutral colour T shirts from M and S (around a fiver each)

flibbertyjibbet · 07/06/2007 23:34

New Look do maternity, very trendy, extremely cheap. Not at all their branches so google them to find out where is nearest you.
