Movements 11w

I'm 11w +4
I can feel baby wriggling, maybe a handful of times a day today and yesterday
They are definitely movements, this is dc3 so I know what they feel like

I had them around 13 weeks with dc2 and later with dc1

I have a retroverted uterus, could this be why I'm feeling them now or would that make no odds. It just took me by surprise

I can relate to this. I felt my first baby at 12 weeks and have felt both subsequent dc about that early. I have a retroverted uterus too, maybe that’s why? I’m almost 10 weeks with dc4 and am convinced Ive been feeling them for a few days now. I haven’t told anyone that for fear of being told I’m crazy! There’s no other feeling like it so I’m quite sure it isn’t wind!

DannyWallace · 06/09/2018 17:48

This is so weird.
I'm 14weeks with my first. The other day I was relaxing and definitely felt "something" fluttering for a few seconds, right above my pubic bone. I have IBS and have felt every weird stomach feeling going. And this was definitely different.
I am aware that it's so unlikely at this point, but I was convinced.

Just found out at 12 weeks I have a retroverted uterus too!

No sorry not convinced your feeling movements at this stage it’s probably wind 🙈 I’m on my third pregnancy and didn’t feel till 22 weeks xx

Heatherbaby · 06/09/2018 23:16

@Lucylou19 it may be your third pregnancy but you can't just dismiss the previous posters movements as wind Hmm

I felt my firstat 16w and second at 13. When you're pregnant and you've done it before you can definitely tell the difference between wind and flutters!

Not sure op is concerned with convincing anyone of anything. Shock
Not surprised she’s feeling something at 11w... it’s the size of a fig... well past grain of rice stage!

cactusplant · 07/09/2018 10:04

Thanks guys, no definitely not concerned with convincing anybody it just took me by surprise as did dd last time.

Dc3 for me too and they are definitely movements and it feels lovely, placenta is low and posterior and I had said about my uterus being retroverted so I'm not sure if that's why or if it's just experience.

There's still nothing of me but you forget how quickly they develop inside. It's lovely

I don’t get it when people say ‘it must be wind’. 1) I know what wind feels like, 2) How strange that this ‘wind’ gets stronger and stronger until you can see limbs coming out of your stomach and 3) How odd that the ‘wind’ feels just like baby movements did in previous pregnancies!
I’m on my third pregnancy and didn’t feel this one until around 17 weeks, but I felt my second at 13 weeks. I also have a retroverted uterus!

cactusplant · 07/09/2018 11:49

@SoyDora that made me giggle but it's so true!
Lots of us with retroverted uteruses clocking movements earlier then. I thought it may be linked

I’m sure I was feeling my second around this time. It frustrates me when people say you can feel anything til 18/20 weeks. I’m 16 weeks today and know I can feel little flutters, my midwife even said I will be around now. Especially being my second I know what to feel out for. xx
