Hi guys. Not really the end of the world but my hearing in my left ear has gone sort of fuzzy. As though I have an earplug in. Right seems fine. I've got a consultant appointment on Tuesday but was wondering if there's anything I can do to help it?

perhaps you could see your pharmacist before tuesday? they will be able to take a peek at it and tell you what's wrong. all the best x

At the risk of sounding like I'm trivialising the issue, sounds blocked - probably a build up of wax that you can sort with over the counter ear drops or get a nurse to syringe it out for you.

Have done. Not blocked

Sounds like eusachian tune dysfunction. I get it a lot. Nothing that can be done short term but warm compress behind the ear regularly to try and open the tube, as don't think you can take decongestants in pregnancy 😕

Thank you @Gemsie1984 looking that up it does seem pretty accurate. I'll give that a go for now. Thank you :)

Have you tried pinching your nose and trying to blow air through your nose with your mouth closed? I do it and it's successful sometimes, to be used with caution though as can rupture tympanic membrane if done too forcefully..
