Transverse Lie

I’m currently 34+3 and after being head down since around 16 weeks my baby has now decided to lie sideways. Midwife says nothing to worry about until the 36 week appointment though. Just wondered if anyone had any experience of this - did the baby turn? If not, what was the process at/after the 36 week appointment?

DS was transverse at 34 weeks also and did turn a couple of weeks later. However I had an obstructed labour due to incomplete rotation. His head never engaged and midwives had me pushing to no end (forcep delivery). I'm going to be extensively monitored this time and I'll opt for ELCS if baby is not in the exact right position. So yes baby can turn but I would advise you to really press the midwives to check and recheck that baby is completely in the correct position. Good luck.

My first was a transverse lie and I was told to go on all fours and gently rock backwards and forwards. It worked x

Mine was transverse for ages but turned without any extra effort for me and was fine by 36 weeks.
