Bleeding dark red during pregnancy! !! Plz help

Hi,
On 23rd I have red spotting! I was so worried then but now from 3rd sep when I went to the toilet a golf ball size blood went into the loo!! It's shows thread's in it and very think like glue!!! Yesterday I did test n it's positive. Does any one know when the blood is not normal? I keep ringing midwife but comes busy. And my scan is on 20th I'm 8weeks now

Also is heat plaster safe to use during pregnancy for my Backache

Do you have an early pregnancy unit at hospital? Or can you get in with GP? All else fails I'd go into A&E. Good luck xx

Ring your GP and ask to be referred to the EPU for a scan.

I had bleeding one and off from weeks 5-9 but not quite as heavy as you described. All was fine for me.

Rang the early pregnancy unit. She made me appointment for scan for tomorrow.. hope it's normal. Does any one else had bleeding during pregnancy?
Read online that if it's coming from baby it's miscarriage. .... but if coming from around the baby cover it's normally old blood from past periods!!! I hope it old blood

From what I've looked up on miscarriage the hcg pregnancy hormone can stay in your body for a few weeks after you miscarry.

With you saying a gold ball sized clot I can’t see it having a good outcome at all,my best friend had the same and it was the baby she lost. Spotting is sometimes common but not clots xx

I think the general rule is if it’s brown blood it’s old blood and things are usually fine. But red blood with big clots is usually bad news - I’m hoping for your case it’s not though! x

I might reading ur replies... I wanted to say it golf size gluey blood not clot! If that makes sense!! I cant think any other way to describe most thing that worry me is if it's old blood.. how long will i having it. Cuz some ladies says they had it all the way until baby born! Some had also big clots that was normal too... that's why I hope my case is normal too... and want so hope!

I had bleeding during my second pregnancy. Started at about 6 weeks, peaked between 12-14 weeks but was off and on throughout. It was bright red and enough to soak multiple pads but no large clots. DD was ok. They never discovered where it was coming from.
Hoping you get positive news tomorrow. But make sure you take someone with you for a handhold.

Has the bleeding stopped? I'd prepare for the worst to be honest. Hopefully it isn't though.

@Sandstormbrewing it's on and off its only when I go to toilet or wipe my self... finger crossed for tomorrow

It could also be an SCH where you bleed lots, but can sometimes have a good outcome as in my case (sat next to my three year old munching an ice lolly on the sofa). I bleed clots too. Only a scan will tell you what is going on unfortunately. Good luck and hope all goes well.

So I went to early scan today. They couldn't c any pregnancy sings in the womb. Then a dark small size thing appeared . .. she said it my be baby or clot or something done my blood test... n broke into tears cuz I was so excited about my pregnancy it was after 10 yrs! My pregnancy planner and every thing reminds me... now I came home having tea cuz I haven't had breakfast before... it looked like bad luck for me....
