Hi there
Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar? I had my pregnancy as 8w+4 from the first day of my last period. I started to spot brown discharge when I wiped and little bits in my knickers on Saturday with very mild period pain type cramps, phoned the BEP clinic on Monday and they told me to come in for an internal scan, when the consultant started she asked me if I was sure about my dates and I wasn’t really just going from my period, she seen a heartbeat but said it did look a little slow which is common in early pregnancy and that I was measuring a little under 6 weeks, I’m not even sure if that can be right or too small. I have regular periods monthly but the days range anywhere between 28 -32 day cycles, I have started to spot more like stringy type mucus blood still dark in colour but the odd bit of red but very minute, I have a scan booked in next week but I am just very worried now and wondering if anyone has any similar experiences, thank you

Sorry I also meant to say, that immediately after the scan I had some fresh red blood but that quickly went away and then on the same even I passed a clot again dark in colour browny/dark red, it wasn’t huge but it was big enough

If your period was 8.4 weeks you would be around 6 weeks pregnant. Implantation can take between 1-2 weeks to occur so really can vary. My internal scan made me bleed briefly it could be the lining. I would suggest you call back the clinic however and tell them you are having further bleeding.
Good luck xx

Hi RLOU30
Thank you for replying, I have called them back but they said I just need to wait until my scan next week now unless In the meantime I start to have heavy bleeding, I have my booking in appointment with the midwife today also

There's always lots to think about during pregnancy, but try to keep cool and listen to what the doctors say. Sometimes with things going bad it's a waiting game and you'd have to see how things play out. Hopefully this will be nothing, my friend bles lots in pregnancy.

My only advice is look after yourself and keep calm, what will be will be hunny. The most trivial thing you can say, but there is literally nothing you can do either way, just keep getting checked and listen to the doctors xxxxx
