When does the tiredness end?

Hi all,

I am currently 13 weeks and 4 days pregnant with my first baby and today i am absolutely exhausted. I am so tired i feel like i could cry :(

I have heard tiredness eases off in the first trimester - is this true? There is a light at the end of this very dark sleepy tunnel?

Thanks
Sara

It was about 13-14 weeks before I started feeling normal.

Harrypotterfan1604 · 05/09/2018 09:17

I started to feel less tired by about week 15. All those early pregnancy symptoms disappeared around that time. I’m 23 weeks now, It does get better I promise xx

SunshineAndRainbows6 · 05/09/2018 09:24

This isn't me too OP! Currently in bed off work, feel like I've been hit by a bus, so achey and tired! I hope it gets better for both of us 😂🤦🏻‍♀️🤰🏻💗💙 xx

Tiredness ends in about 18 years!

(Sorry, couldn't resist Grin)

Snitzelvoncrumb · 05/09/2018 09:25

Possibly when they move out.

guiltynetter · 05/09/2018 09:26

with both my pregnancies at 14-15 weeks i felt so much better, i felt normal again, until around 28-30 weeks then the tiredness came back! you’ll get there.

SLP88 · 05/09/2018 09:27

Thanks ladies so hoping at end of next week i will start to feel a difference. I have a whole weekend off this weekend so planning on resting.

I just feel so down and tired, cooking and housework is hardly getting done cause am shattered.

I cant wait to feel normal again for a while before the sleepness nights begin x

Nobody’s going to die if the housework isn’t done. Leave it,get plenty of rest before baby’s actually here xx

CobaltRose · 05/09/2018 09:53

I'm 13+4 too and am only just starting to feel a bit more human now!

magpie24 · 05/09/2018 10:09

Felt amazing from 14 weeks to 30 weeks. Now getting a bit tired again at 31 but think that may have been due to dwindling iron supplies.

Aprilshowersnowastorm · 05/09/2018 10:12

Not even when they leave home ime.

LucyLou19 · 05/09/2018 10:16

Around 18 weeks I started to feel a bit better it’s so hard that pregnancy tiredness xx

bluetrampolines · 05/09/2018 10:17

Tiredness stop?

Hahahahahahahahaha.

liquidrevolution · 05/09/2018 10:42

Mid twenties I am told by my DM.

Sorry not helpful. Just make sure you are eating as well as you can.

Blondiecub0109 · 05/09/2018 10:46

16 weeks and I’m feeling a bit more normal and can get through the day ... get a solid 9-10 of kip of a night tho! I think feeling better more energy for me has gone hand in hand with sickness subsiding so eating a wider variety of food - and more food - now starving

captainshortie · 05/09/2018 12:07

Im 18+1 and im exhausted all the time. Currently trying not to fall asleep at my desk haha!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/09/2018 12:14

The tiredness never stopped for me, especially as I was also waking up multiple times in the night from early on (for the loo). Shortly before my baby was born I had one memorable night where I woke up 7 times. I then had no sleep for 3 nights in a row due to being in latent labour and giving birth. Baby is now 3 weeks old and I'm still shellshocked, but at least when I wake in the night it's because he's here Smile

Fingers crossed you feel better going into the 2nd trimester!

BigBlueBubble · 05/09/2018 12:23

I thought I felt tired when I was pregnant. Then the baby was born and I realised what true exhaustion felt like! For me the tiredness never lifted during pregnancy and it just got worse after giving birth.

1Wanda1 · 05/09/2018 12:46

I second littlecabbage!

I'm 18 weeks pregnant and am tired. I also have teenagers at home and have been tired most of the time for about 17 years now.

DannyWallace · 05/09/2018 12:54

Oh OP I'm 13+6 and feel the exact same way. Can't wait to feel normal (ish) again 😂

Stephisaur · 05/09/2018 16:04

I'm 25 weeks and it's only been the last 2 weeks or so that I've had the energy to cook anything that requires more effort than sticking in the oven!

I'm yawning as I type this, but I'm definitely LESS tired lol

LBNM19 · 05/09/2018 23:21

I'm 28 weeks and I've been tired the whole pregnancy. It was worse in the first trimester and now I feel like it's getting worse again. This is my 4th baby and I've been like this with all my pregnancys, not myself tired and run down. Never got the glow Hmm I think it just depends on you. We are all different, so I hope you do start to feel better. X

Booklovingmummy · 05/09/2018 23:25

21 months post partum and counting....no sign of it abaiting. Perhaps when they're 18??

SLP88 · 06/09/2018 07:29

So basically I will never feel awake again 😂

I slept for 11 hours last night and feel better tides thankfully 😊
