I'm 35+5 and rh neg. I knocked my bump on Sunday and went to MAU they gave me the anti D injection, I just wondered how long would it cover for another small knock or do I need it every time?

I think you only get 2 doses of Anti D 1 at 28 and the other at 34/5 weeks I last had a baby 21 yrs ago so maybe things have changed

You should get advice every time. Although I was told it protects your for one week.

They told me every time Sad

Luckily I have not needed it so far!

See I am way out of touch

You need it every time you have a bleed. I've never had it for bumping my bump, with a toddler jumping all over me I would have been there every day with my second pregnancy!?

I probably would ask if I had a really serious knock or fall but wouldn't be concerned otherwise. I had several bleeds during both pregnancies and have lost count of the number of anti d injections I've had over the last couple of years. No one has ever mentioned needing them for knocks too.

In my trust they currently give you the injection anyway at 30 weeks as standard which is supposed to cover you until the birth/42 weeks, then you get another one 72 hrs after birth.

I would check because there's a lot of different advice on here but I was told it covers you for around 6 weeks

Never ever heard of having one for a bump?
Like one other poster said, I'd been in every day if they did.... Toddlers are bouncy kicky things and I'm a clumsy idiot as it is...
I had a bleed and they still didn't give me one.
Had two during my first and will only have two this time, one in the 2nd/3rd trimester and one soon after birth (so long as it is before 72hours I was told)
I wouldn't worry about small knocks. Especially so close to having had your last shot
