Does this sounds like a UTI?

I'm 20 weeks pregnant. Yesterday afternoon I started cramping in my lower abdomen which does sometimes happen but goes away after 30/60 minutes. This time it didn't, I went home and lay down and it did ease it but every time I moved I felt tender.

This morning it's absolute agony to pee! I'm drinking as much as I can but it's still hurting.

I've never had a UTI before but from what I've read this might be one?

Obviously as soon as my doctors open I'm ringing them straight away for an emergency appointment but would I be better to see the midwife or my GP?

It sounds like one to me! I'm a regular sufferer of them unfortunately. They tend to sting and you can feel like you really need to go but not a lot happens when you do. They aren't nice but can be cleared up quickly with antibiotics.

I suffered with UTI constantly when I was pregnant with DD and I always rang the maternity assessment unit in my hospital and asked them for advice. They ALWAYS without fail, told me to go to the assessment unit and they would take my blood pressure and check my urine and put me on a monitor. I ended up getting induced 3 weeks early because I developed pre eclampsia and the most common sign I had for it was reoccurring UTI. Once you have over so many UTI then you become high risk. I would ring the maternity assessment unit.

I've been to my doctors this morning. My blood pressure is fine. My urine sample didn't show obvious signs of an infection but had some white blood cells so doctor said it can be a sign of an infection. He's given me antibiotics so fingers crossed that sorts it
