Movements

I'm 22 weeks on Friday and have been feeling movements since I was about 16 weeks.

I was starting to get into a pattern of knowing when to feel movement and LO was starting to kick a little more than just rolling about. For the past few days, I've felt less movement - typically not feeling much at the end of the day.

I had my 20 week scan last Wednesday and LO was in an awkward position (face down in my hip) and after 35 mins we had to resign ourselves to booking in for another scan next Friday to get the final pictures of the baby's profile and heart.

I'm wondering if the movement reduction is just down to this position? Or if it's relatively normal for a change in movement pattern?

With my first I had consistent movement from 16weeks and thought I got her pattern sussed. Then all of a sudden it dropped off to next to nothing and a few weeks later popped back up without any rhythm or rhyme to it and stayed very active but with no real pattern until birth. Now she never stops. Ever....

I felt quite a bit of movement from 15 - 17 weeks. Then nothing for 2 weeks.. Then suddenly there she was again. Now she is kicking the crap out of me every day (27 weeks)!

(Basically it's perfectly normal at this stage in the pregnancy is my understanding)

It's still early, they don't worry about patterns of movement until about 28 weeks.

Patterns of movements don’t become a concern till 28 weeks plus so don’t worry xx

Thanks for all your replies.

Funnily enough, she's been playing football in there this morning so I'm feeling a little better now.
