very faint line on pregnancy test

so i have been trying for a baby (My first) I went to poundland and decided to buy lots of cheap pregnancy tests.
There is a faint second line. however the packet says that if there is a faint second line then it means negative. But surely the HCG has to be detected for the second line to even appear? I am curious to know if i am pregnant please help me

Are you sure you’ve bought pregnancy tests and not ovulation tests? Disregarding a second faint line as negative is correct for an ovulation test but not a pregnancy test.
