Early movements

I'm thinking that we shouldn't really be monitoring movements until 24wks but just looking for reassurance.

My placenta is at the front and some days I will feel movements but over the last few days I haven't felt much at all tbh, maybe the odd kick but things have been pretty quiet.

I'm nearly 23wks.

My hubby said not to worry to give it more time as I am still in the early stages.

Probably is still too early as baby is still very small at this stage, and compared to my other pregnancies I'm defo not showing as much as I have with the others but I am carrying a girl this time, for the first time.

Anyone else in a similar position?

She's probably just hiding from you. They still have a fair amount of space.

HOWEVER, if you personally feel that her movements are unusually quiet, please call the number on your notes. For me, it's triage but it might be different on yours.

I have an anterior placenta, my midwife said she would expect me to have a regular pattern of movement from around 26-27 weeks onwards but not to worry too much before that.

Thanks for your replies. I spoke to maternity earlier who said to just keep an eye on things and that if I was really worried to come down and they would listen in, baby has been moving tonight so it's out my mind at ease. Thanks again xx
