As the title says I am 25+2 and since last night I have had a stabbing pain that seems constant for a few hours then goes and comes back in my left bum cheek.

Anyone every experience anything like this?

Yes this sounds like sciatica- usually caused by the weight of the baby on a nerve. Unfortunately nothing gets rid of it completely (except having the baby), but certain things help like pregnancy yoga, osteopath and massage

Thanks for replying. Luckily I have a high pain threshold so it's more just annoying at present. My partner just thinks it's hilarious.

Physio can help release the muscle that might be pressing on the nerve (piriformis, Iirc). It can really really help. If it gets worse, it's worth looking into a physio referral

Yep sciatica, I’ve had this both pregnancies around the 25 week mark. Luckily it only lasted for a few weeks then everything seemed to shift again and it went. It returned a bit after birth when everything was shifting back into place.

He was only laughing due to the way I was moving and to be honest I would have laughed If it was him moving the way I was last night.

Thanks for all the replies
