35 weeks constant period pain and low back pain

I'm 35 weeks and since yesterday I have had quite bad period pain. It's constant and doesn't come and go in waves or cramps. I also have lower back pain which again is constant and doesn't come and go. I was up quite a lot in the night with it as it is so uncomfortable. My belly doesn't go right unless I'm stood up or walking. Baby is moving fine.

Now is this just a normal way of your body prepping for labour, is it something I should bother someone about? Xx

Sounds like Braxton Hicks and everything getting ready xx

I’m 37 weeks and had this at 35 also. It’s gone now- I did go to get checked out but absolutely nothing was happening. It may possibly be head engaging or baby moving position. Definitely get checked though if symptoms continue or change

I had it from 35 weeks too. DD arrived at 39+6. On the day I went into labour it changed from constant to coming and going.

You could check with the midwife that it is not a urine infection, as this is common in pregnancy.
