Hi just wondering if anybody can help.
My period is almost 14 days late , never missed before usually like clockwork.
I think I could be pregnant came off the pill etc.
I’ve done 3 tests and all neg but super tired and some cramping?
Any advice what advantage would a gp Visit be??
Travelling to the us on Friday so unsure what to do!

So did you come off the pill because your period was late? Pill periods aren’t real periods, they’re for reassurance only or some nonsense like that, so it could just have been that?

A GP can do bloodtest to see what your hcg levels are- this will indicate if you're pregnant which I think is more sensitive than urine test

No stopped it about 3 weeks ago to start trying but usually if I even miss a pill I’d get light bleeding or spotting but I’ve had nothing at all in almost 8 weeks!

Oh ok.

Well, if you ovulated straight after coming off the pill then a test should be accurate by now. We have no way of knowing when/if you ovulated though so I would suggest taking a test each week until you either get a BFP or your period.

Take stuff on holiday with you just in case but fingers crossed :)

Docs apt tomorrow pretty anxious!

Have two hives. Sore legs and extra windy but still negetive tests!
Anybody know anything about the hook effect? Apparently it could prevent a pregnancy with twins showing as a positive?
My other half is a twin , and his twin brother has twins??

Twins aren't male factor and it was a coincidence. Fraternal twins can run through the female line of a family (or be pot luck). Identical twins are random.

Hook effect at 6 weeks would be unusual. You could dilute your wee to check, but if you've been getting negatives since your af was due, this is highly unlikely.

It's far more likely to be a simple case of late ovulation, which is extremely common. There are several threads a day on this in both conception and pregnancy, so you aren't alone, even if you're normally very regular. And anovulatory cycles are very very common too and can cause late af.

I hope you get some answers, as I'm sure it must be frustrating.

What @physicskate said ^^

The late period may just be your body adjusting to being off the pill. When I had my mirena coil out I had a brief withdrawal bleed then nothing for nearly six weeks. Took a good few months before I got back to a regular 28 day cycle.
