I loved my first midwife, she got transferred when I was 18 weeks or so and no-one else believed my dates

NappiesGalore · 07/06/2007 00:38

i nominated my last midwife (my youngest is 16m now. hope that counts. shes ace.)

i gushed a bit in the comments... "sharp, funny, soothing and real, i felt utterly safe and well cared for in her hands. and even after the birth (which she was away for and was attended by other midwives) she was a shining light of care and competence. she spotted and arranged treatment for a minor but undiagnosed problem, which as a result of her intervention meant i was able to go on to breastfeed for 9 months. a real hero and a fabulous woman."

i don't think it will count nappies. baby had to have been born or due between april 2006 and august this year.

I've only met mine once so far. At that meeting, she asked who my midwife was with DS1. As if i'm gonna remember that far back?? We are talking 17 years ago now!!
