Does anyone know why you can’t take this if you’re having a c section?

Presumably because it’s thought to help bring on contractions and if you’ve a scheduled CS you don’t want to be going into labour before your planned surgery?

I didn’t think it brought on contractions, I thought it made the birth easier? Have I got it wrong?

chloechloe · 02/09/2018 19:38

Apparently it’s thought to do both but there’s no evidence as to any of it.

I don't know if it's coincidence but I went into Labour the day I drank this tea! 10 days overdue.

I’ve been drinking the tea since 32 weeks I’m upto 3 cups a day now I’m 37+2! It doesn’t bring in labour OR start contractions it helps the cervix become more favourable and supposedly helps prevent tears etc. I used it with my daughter and I didn’t tear or anything. So I would say it’s not worth for a c section xx
