I've just got to get a baby monitor, Moses basket stand, stock up on nappies for the first couple of weeks and I think that's all Grin so in love with our little bubbas nursery.

How's all your preparations going? Smile

35 weeks. Haven’t done a nursery or got a baby monitor as baby is in with us for 6 months in her Next2me.

Only things left to get are a nappy bin and a sling. I have some deep cleaning to do, particularly in the bedroom. Other than that I think we’d be ready if she came tomorrow!

oreolovegood · 02/09/2018 13:09

@Nothisispatrick ah we are planning on using the monitor for when we have to do housework and bits like that! Or if we put her down to sleep during the day.

Doesn't it just feel like it's never clean or tidy enough! I'm tidying everyday and still doesn't look tidy enough. I'm going mad, feel like throwing away all our stuff just so it's neat haha! Grin

32 weeks pregnant with no 2. So much less organised than I was with my first.

The nursery is currently a shell. Plasterer booked in next week, then needs to be painted before we can set up the cot, furniture etc. Carpet purchased but can't arrange delivery until painting done. We've bought pretty much everything we need for the nursery but it's all in the dining room at the moment which is driving me mad.

DH has just been up in the loft to retrieve the Moses basket, baby gym and bouncer that have been up there for 4 years. Found the Moses basket but no covers, half the baby gym and the metal frame for the bouncer but no seat Confused

I'm trying not to stress but feel very unprepared at the moment and not due to finish work for 5 more weeks so feel like I have no time.

Hello Ladies, I am 32 weeks pregnant with my first. The nursery is done and all clothing nicely sorted by size.
We bought the baby bouncer, monitor & carrier online. It's all on its way now.
What i am missing is a changing bag for the pram (the pram is already built up and ready to go), nappy bin & nursing bras.
I was reading that you should go look for nursing bras from 36+ weeks, so I will wait a little.
As long as little one has clothes and mama's boobs/formula, you can get the missing pieces afterwards. Xx

33 weeks pregnant here with number two. I'm so much more relaxed about these things it's quite funny. I'm definitely in a cleaning frenzy as I can't seem to stop but that's about all. Our Moses basket, bouncer, Moses bedding, play mat and a few other bit's are currently in storage with someone else as we moved abroad last year for hubby's work and a new person starting over here has kindly shipped it over for us with all his family's stuff but they don't have a house yet so it's all in the back of a storage container till they move in! Amazingly this doesn't overly bother me... they can always sleep in the full cot if necessary. But I have got the baby space in our room set up (storage/changing) and all the newborn and 0-3 month stuff washed and put away. I've also got all the bits organized I will need for my home birth as that is the plan. We don't have a nursery set up as this baby will be with us again for 6 months, them just move into the spare room in the cot until we're comfortable that he/she sleeps well enough not to disturb the eldest (probably until they're 18 months old) they they'll share a room. So there really is no point kitting out the spare room as a nursery when they won't really use it as such.

@oreolovegood, could you share a link to the changing bag please? SmileHalo
The one I have in mind (storksak from John Lewis) is rather on the expensive side. Not sure whether I should invest so much...

The bouncer arrived earlier and we are deeply disappointed. Mamaroo 4 classic grey (on sale on Mamas & Papas). Movements are not smooth. Seems like there is something stuck in the mechanism. Returning it tomorrow! Angry
Any recommendations for bouncers please ?
Xx

@jasmin93 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07D4GCPFM/ref=cmswwrcppapi_fwdIBbRVQV7RG this is the one we got. You can wear it as a rucksack and we tried it with the buggy clips today too and it's a great size. It's got insulated bottle bits in the front, nappy and wipe sections. Some are so expensive aren't they!

What a shame about your bouncer, I hope they sort it for you! x

@oreolovegood, thanks for the link Flowers it has good reviews! I will look into it further xx

Rideforthehills · 03/09/2018 11:06

I'm 31 weeks and not bought a single thing. I'm away from home until 36 weeks at which point I will have a frantic few days of online ordering and eBay so that we have everything by 37 weeks. That will be ok won't it?

oreolovegood · 04/09/2018 14:48

@Rideforthehills if you're buying it all new you'll be fine! Smile we got a lot of our bits early as we got a cot for £10 and an east coast changing table for £15 and we've sanded them all down and painted them so everything matches. Same with the rocking chair. Everything else we didn't need so early, I just like to be organised Grin I've even packed my hospital bag already! x

30 weeks with number 2 - very unorganised this time around.

Luckily we have everything left over from DD so don't need to buy much but I have mountains of clothes and nappies to wash and a nursery to sort out!
