Early Pregnancy bleeding HELP!

I am 9 weeks pregnant, and started having a show of brown old blood on Wednesday, its now Friday and I am having what looks like a full blown normal looking period, light to medium and ranging from pink/red/brown blood. I have bothered my midwife about 4 times now and I have a urgent scan booked for Monday, but I am tearing my hair out! I keep looking online and it does say its completely normal and common but usually labelled as spotting. I'm not having pain, but the low heavy feeling you have around a period (this is also when I would of been on normally) just to twist the knife its my birthday this weekend and its killing me going a whole two days (pathetic I know) without knowing. I'm just looking for advice or any one who has been in the same boat as me and have gone on to have normal pregnancies like they've said on google! I'm not usually a worrier, but this is sending me crazy, as generally in life you have the fear of god put in you that miscarriage and blood and all is alarming! Blush

Its not pathetic at all it's extremely worrying when in that situation. I had light spotting with my daughter and my sister had heavy bleeding with her daughter and has now got a healthy one year old. Fingers crossed it's normal for you. Feel for u to be waiting all over the weekend especially when you should be celebrating your birthday. X

I know it's easy to say, but please try not to think the worst.

I'm 15 weeks and last week woke up to quite a heavy bleed. I was terrified.
Everything was fine, but I know how easy it is to convince yourself it couldn't be anything but bad news.

Fingers crossed for you and big hugs x

I had heavy bleeding that lasted weeks in my last 2 pregnancys. Both started with a major bleed and both times it turnt out to be a heamtoma. It is very worrying. I'm 27 weeks now and baby is doing well.

Bleeding is very common in early pregnancy, doesn't always mean the worse. I hope your scan goes well on Monday.

Bless you. Any kind of bleeding is a worry. I had light bleeding of all colours around 6 weeks. Had an early scan and all was fine. Currently 36+6 and baby is happily kicking away.

Hope all goes ok Monday

I had very heavy bleeding at around 7 weeks, bright red and lasted 2 days. I was sure it was a miscarriage and had to wait a week for a scan! It's not pathetic at all I still remember that feeling of waiting and hoping.
Anyway mine was something about the placenta burrowing into the wall that caused it Confused it wasn't explained very well at the time. She's 5 now Smile Fingers crossed and I hope it all goes well for you x

Thankyou all for your replies, I’m actually more reassured by the comments from real mums like yourselves over the professionals, sad I know. Still bleeding it’s red like a normal period now, this is day 4 no pain, moderate amount. Will let you know how Monday goes. Being my first baby makes me more anxious! Xx
