Leaking amniotic fluid?

Hey ladies! Sorry for TMI but for the last few days I've been having normal looking wet patches in my pants. I didn't think anything of it until I looked online and saw that it might be leaking amniotic fluid? I'm 18+3 and now very worried! (I'll be calling midwife now) wondered if anyone had any experience of this? No smell as such just slightly like ammonia and clear looking. Thanks for your help x

Could be just normal discharge but ramped up in quantity did you put on an amino scence pad

You're doing the right thing calling the mw - if anything they'll put your mind at ease. It might be that they ask you to go in and wear a special pad to check.

The mw will be able to help either way. Hope you get some answers soon xx

Thanks ladies! I went to the hospital as couldn't get hold of midwives (nothing new)Hmm and they swabbed my cervix and took a look using a speculum. They tested for amniotic fluids and it came back negative so she suggested it's just heavier discharge but it's definitely put my mind at rest a bitSmile I'll probably see if I can get the special pads just so I can keep an eye out myself too! xx

That's great news. Bet you're relieved. For what it's worth you did the right thing. This happened to me but thankfully I was 40 weeks so just meant I had to be induced and baby arrived safely. X
