Hi everyone,

I am writing here because I have been speculating for one week and getting confusing pregnancy test results. I have two children, so I know the drill and am pretty in touch with my body. But this has thrown me through a loop. We had unprotected 'you know' on the 12th August, first day of my period began the evening on the 3rd August, I have a 28 day cycle like clockwork. On the 13th August at around 6pm I took EllaOne morning after pill. Actually, if I had known all the information about this type of pill I would not have taken it, but my husband and I agreed and I went ahead with it believing it simply prevented ovulation. Anyway, that aside, I have been feeling an ongoing niggling inside for a week now and a little twingey back pain sometimes accompanying it. I have occasionally felt a tiny bit nausiated but really mild, and I have been more tired than usual. I have been trying to find out if this is normal after taking the morning after pill - it seems a little odd that it is going on so long after taking it. My period was due yesterday, and I am aware that periods usually arrive about a week late after taking this so I know I won't know anything for a while. I keep looking over the dates again and again to work out if I could have ovulated before taking it. Some places say ovulation occurs between day 10 and 15, some places it says 12-14 days before the next period - in some cases it makes my ovulation day the day in question and in some cases it makes it up to 3 or 4 days out. I just don't understand why else this feeling continues. It is not my usual ovulation pain, and it is not period cramps. My boobs have been on and off slightly swolen for over a week but again this could be due to the pending period date. To set my mind at ease, I took a pregnancy test 2 days ago (a day early at least, though maybe almost 2 days early since the last period did not start until late night on the 3rd) - it was negative, which was fine. I was then surprise when the niggle continued. Has anyone had this experience with the morning after pill and found themselves to be pregnant or not pregnant? Can EllaOne delay the date of a positive test due to the hormone disruption? Has anyone fell pregnant with similar on EllaOne after taking the day after the unprotected deed with a similar set up in terms of dates as me? I know speculation does not solve the problem, but I would like to make sure I am not running away with myself and information on this is so limited.
