Hey everyone! Nice few of us.

At your 16 week appointment did you listen to the heart beat?

Apparently each area is different :-/

Yes, I got to hear mine. I have my mw appointment at the surgery by sainsburys

Baby160P · 30/08/2018 20:47

@Grimbles oh I'm not far from there by the asda so hoping it won't be that different, my other half wants to come if they do. If not seems silly him coming 😊

My dh didn't come - the appointment was mainly to check I was well so no reason for him to be there. Tbh I liked being the first to hear it and having that momentary connection with the baby growing inside me. Selfish maybe, but he can hear the heartbeat at the 20wk scan!

Baby160P · 30/08/2018 20:53

@Grimbles not selfish. My OH has already said he'd want to be there so I'd feel bad saying no lol

Hi, I’m in Billericay. I’m 20 weeks. I heard the heartbeat at the 16 week appointment. As pp said, the appointment is mainly for your wellbeing and quite quick so no need for OH to be there.

Shenfield here! Only 7+2/3 days though.

Lumpy76 · 31/08/2018 11:35

Yes you should hear the heartbeat at 15 weeks.
