Hello Im 43 and I married my husband last year. Ive never been really been maternally minded but I now have two stepsons who I adore and I would love for my husband and I to have a child (He feels the same).
I know that its more difficult to conceive at my age and I'm terrified of the thought of giving birth but I strongly feel that the time is finally right to become a mum so I'm just asking has anyone on here had their first on the other side of 40 and how did the pregnancy and labour go? Thank you in advance x

My friend is pregnant for the first time at 41. It took a little while to get pregnant, but her pregnancy has been totally normal so far.

I am 41and 22 weeks. It took us 8 months. We also hope to have a second very quickly, if we can. I hope it works for you. Start taking folic acid now!

Not me OP, but my mum had me at 39 and my sister at 41. She actually fell pregnant with us very easily and both were normal straightforward pregnancies and labours.
