Has anyone had 4 caesarean sections?

I've had 3 c sections. 2 emergency and 1 elective.

I've been told my scar tissue is really bad and I'm at risk of uterine rupture because of this and the fact I've already had 3 sections.

I don't want another caesarean section but it is the only safe option. I actually am really scared.

I was told i shouldn't go past 37 weeks and I'm going to speak to the consultant about this tomorrow.

I just wondered if anyone else has had 4 or more sections?

yes I've had 4.
my fourth was the simplest easiest with a great recovery.
even the spinal was the smoothest of all.

Ive had 4, minimal scar tissue and only reason dc4 was delivered at 38 weeks was due to my mental health, they wanted to deliver at 39+4. He weighed in at 11.6lbs and im a size 10. Was also standard recovery.

Thankyou for replying. I don't no of anyone who has even had 1 section. Hopefully it will be elective and all go to plan this time.

I’ve seen ELCS done when it’s the 4th, 5th and even 6th. The risks are higher when having more and a lot depends on how well you healed following your previous ones. Discuss with the consultant and if it needs to be done earlier it will be. Is this your last? One of the biggest risks is heavy bleeding and the possibility of requiring a hysterectomy if unable to stop the bleeding. Quite rare to need that however.

I know someone who's had 5 CS. All fine!
