Brown discharge was actually my sign of pregnancy, once I saw that it spurred me to take a test. It’s usually just old blood (from previous cycles) shedding, making way for the baby 

And the pain, I had a bit of cramping in the first trimester due to your muscles are starting to move in a way they haven’t before, it’s my first pregnancy too.

I wouldn’t worry if you have been reassured by the hospital! Although I cannot talk much as I took 2 tests a week until my 12 week scan LOL

But I am 38 weeks now and perfectly healthy pregnancy so far.

Try not to worry new mummy!

Struggling to understand your post. Do you state that you are or aren't having bleeding?

Did they do a scan? They should be able to see something at 5/6 weeks, just not necessarily a heartbeat.

I've had this before. It sadly ended in a miscarriage. I have heard that it can be completely normal to bleed early on but think they were irresponsible not doing a scan and sending you away telling you not to worry.

Hi...I started with brown blood at week 6.... went to the early pregnancy unit where they gave me an early scan...found out I had a haematoma (bruise) so had to wait til it passed which took 3 weeks...was quite scary as it's my first pregnancy and had always been told I couldn't have children...but at week 9 it stopped and not had any trouble since...I'm now 22 weeks xx posting the scan pic they did at week 6 xx
